Born in Washington D.C., Michelle's father was in broadcasting. She was fortunate to be able to move frequently. Michelle lived in Virginia, Kentucky, and Mississippi. After graduating from school, she relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she worked at Disney World for 5 years in restaurant management. Michelle then moved to Raleigh as an assistant manager for Darryl's Restaurant and Bar. She later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and managed a coffee shop in the CNN building during the 1996 Olympics. She returned to the Raleigh/Garner area 15 years ago and opened her own coffee shop across from North Carolina State University. It was and still is a successful business. As much as she loved her customers and her business, she wanted to have a more flexible schedule that would still enable her to interact with a vast range of people and also have more time with her now 15 year old son. In 2005, Michelle became a licensed real estate agent and has been assisting home buyers and sellers make their home ownership dreams come true.
